WOW! Look at this jet-black and white Beauty!! Cheyenne is the coolest looking gal...Big built, outrageously colored and very friendly! She is a true "work of art"...just look at her! You could not paint a prettier picture than this one! This absolutely gorgeous mare gets noticed everywhere she goes! You just cannot miss her - marked just right - we get so many compliments everywhere we go! Looks are not the only thing this mare has going for her...she is a superior trail mount! Cheyenne is a truly awesome family horse! She is a laid-back, "easy-goer" safe for ANY level rider and another great confidence building horse for a timid type rider! She rides at a slower pace, relaxed and not in a hurry and is the sort of horse that easily makes a beginner or nervous rider feel safe! She has a very smooth natural, barefoot gait that is easy for anyone to ride. Cheyenne is a good-sized mare with enough height and stock to her that she can easily carry a large man, however she is gentle enough for even a child rider! Speaking of a child rider - Cheyenne and her 7yo youth riding buddy have successfully competed at numerous ACTHA Competitive Trail Events and even a couple of Mounted Shooting Competitions! Cheyenne is extremely well-trained. She stands statue still to mount/dismount and re-mount. She backs, side passes, neck reins or direct reins, gaits, canters and so much more! She rides both Western or English. She is brave and will go anywhere you ask her to go. She is a great confidence building horse for a timid rider and gentle teacher for a beginner. She would also be great for someone who rides with non-gaited friends, as she is not too "hot" to "plod along" with her pals, content to walk along enjoying the scenery all day, if desired! She is content to mosey along at ease while you and your pals enjoy the ride! From the coast to the mountains, she has been exposed to all types of terrain, barking dogs and other livestock, bicycles, traffic including motorcycles, lawn mowers, tractors, and heavy equipment. She is super confident and independent and will go out easily to ride alone! She also does great ridden in large groups, whether it is leading the group, somewhere in the middle, or happily bringing up the rear! She is NOT Spooky. Desensitized to wooden bridges, balloons, gunfire, ATV's, traffic, bikes, ropes, tarps & kids playing! Loads/Unloads/Re-loads and trailers quietly well on any trailer. Ties, clips, grooms, and bathes, stands for the farrier and vet. This well-built, 15h, 13-year old has miles and miles of trail experience and handles the trails safely & calmly. She does not hesitate when asked to go thru the deepest water or the thickest brush or step over the highest obstacle or muck thru the yuckiest mud-hole! She is in excellent body condition and health - like many of us who have "lived" life, she has a old scar on her front leg but it has hair grown over it and she has been vetted and has a clean bill of health and is sound in every way. She accepts new challenges without stress and is calm and cool in sticky situations! This horse is safe - careful and surefooted - calm and dependable. You can ride her, knowing beyond a doubt that you can enjoy the trails without worry or apprehension because she will take care of you! Leave her in the pasture for months and she will be the same reliable gal next time you ride - she is an honest and safe, safe, safe trail mount - a real buddy type - a loving family member! Everyone loves to be around her.
