DAY CAMP

For Girls and Boys  (Ages 6 - 16)

Learn or Improve Riding Skills

No Experience Required

The purpose of this camp is to provide 6 – 16 year old girls and boys with an opportunity to learn more about riding and caring for horses in a fun and educational atmosphere.

Students will rotate through different learning centers, horse feeding, tacking (putting equipment on the horse), washing & grooming, and identifying the parts of a horse, saddle, and bridle in addition to a daily horseback riding lesson. Every camper's favorite activity seems to be horseback riding! Side-walkers are available for each beginning student until they are able to control their own horse. Our programs teach horse safety. Upon completion, participants will not only have developed or improved their riding skills, and increased their knowledge of horse care, but more importantly, they will leave here with an amazing sense of accomplishment and self-confidence!

We

LOVE to Ride!

but...

the Fun doesn't Stop There...

While horseback riding is the main-event here at Camp, there's a whole line-up of different things to do throughout the day and week:

Other Activities Include:

Water Games on the Amazing WaterSlide!

Crafts, Photography, Horse Movies with Popcorn,

Volleyball, Basketball, Tug-Of-War, Hiking...

and more! No time for boredom here!

Kids come home in the evenings with stories of horses and new friends, anxious to get back to Camp the next day!!

Camper's Horse Show

On the last day of camp the riders participate in a horse show (weather permitting) with ribbons and trophies! Everyone leaves with a prize!

Some of the Fun events include:

Grooming and Horsemanship

"Costume Class"  - always lots of laughs!!

Egg and Spoon

Water Cup Class

Beach Ball Polo

and lots more!

Students always enjoy showing off all that they have accomplished during the week, so parents should plan to attend with Cameras in hand!

What can you expect to learn at Horse Camp?

Ground lessons give campers the knowledge and skills to handle and give basic care to horses. They are taught how to properly halter, lead, tie and work safely in close proximity to horses. Campers will get plenty of hands-on experience.

Riding lessons consist of a variety of exercises, drills and games to develop basic balance, confidence and skills. Campers are also taught how to tack up their horses, and how to properly cool down and untack after a ride.

Campers will learn how to SAFELY have Fun with their Big, Furry, Four-legged Friends!
